Hello Lovelies! I spent the weekend at my family cottage and I got so much reading done! I read about four books that their reviews will be uploaded over the next week or so.The first review that i'm doing is Pandemonium by Lauren Oliver. Let's dive right in!

Goodreads Summary

I’m pushing aside
the memory of my nightmare,
pushing aside thoughts of Alex,
pushing aside thoughts of Hana
and my old school,
push,
push,
push,
like Raven taught me to do.
The old life is dead.
But the old Lena is dead too.
I buried her.
I left her beyond a fence,
behind a wall of smoke and flame.

Lauren Oliver delivers an electrifying follow-up to her acclaimed New York Times bestseller, ' Delirium.' This riveting, brilliant novel crackles with the fire of fierce defiance, forbidden romance, and the sparks of a revolution about to ignite.

I can honestly say that Delirium was so much better than this one. I liked how this novel was still very fast paced, which I liked, but Lena was so detached in this book. I liked how she was still grieving over Alex, but really? That was the only part of Lena that was even recognizable in my eyes.  In Delirium she was strong and loving and headstrong, but I couldn't see that in this one.

I just didn't understand why Lena left her town at all if she was just going to have her emotions suppressed by the new society she lived in. Raven and Tack were supposed to be the good guys but I couldn't see it. I also hated the ending. Hate it. The idea of an impending Twilight style love triangle makes me cringe. I honestly don't think i'll read book three.

All in all, I was nothing but disappointed with this book. I was hoping for the a stronger protagonist with a better played out plot line, and I got neither.

2/5 stars.
